We are studying the mechanism of complex turbulent flows using the CFD techniques for predicting the phenomena with high accuracy.

We are performing direct numerical simulations to clarify the mechanism for predicting and controlling turbulent flow in various situations. (Keywords : Rough wall, Noninertial frame, Circular cylinder, Melting and solidification)

Turbulent flow of non-Newtonian fluid

We are studying the characteristics of turbulent flows of non-Newtonian fluids and the difference from those of Newtonian fluid. (Keywords : Surfactant solution, Power-law fluid, Viscoelastic fluid)

Aerodynamic noise from turbulence

We are studying the mechanism of aerodynamic noise sources from turbulence for predicting and controlling the noise. (Keywords : Large-scale pressure structure, Wall vibration)
