Shingo Ito received the MASc in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering from University of Toronto, Canada, in 2007 and the PhD in Electrical Engineering from TU Wien, Vienna, Austria in 2015. He served as an engineer with Yaskawa Electric Corporation, Japan, from 2007 to 2010 and as a researcher with Automation and Control Institute (ACIN, TU Wien), Austria, from 2011 to 2021.
He is currently a Professor with University of Fukui, Japan. His research interest includes design and control of high-precision mechatronic systems for production, inspection, and automation, such as vibration isolators, AFMs, laser scanners, and 3D printers.
